You’re doing the most important work in Montana. We’re here to help you do it better.

Rad Co. is a boutique consulting firm built to radically support nonprofits in the rural American West. We’re two executive-level strategists who spent decades working inside organizations like yours, and we left big institutions to do this work closer to home.

Carolyn is based in Helena, with 20+ years in nonprofit philanthropy across Montana and the Pacific Northwest. Katie is based in Boise, with organizational strategy experience from Lonely Planet, Google, and Apple. She helps organizations tell the right story to the right people at the right time.
Together we help Montana nonprofits navigate executive transitions, build stronger development strategies, sharpen their communications and organizational strategy, and find clarity when the path forward isn’t obvious.
No bloated engagements. No coastal consulting playbooks.

Start with Brain Space.
Most of our client relationships begin here, and for good reason.

Brain Space is dedicated, confidential time to think through your most pressing strategic challenges with experienced advisors who have seen it all before. You bring the challenge. We bring outside executive-level expertise, pattern recognition, and perspective.

A 4-hour Brain Space session normally runs $800. As an MNA member, your first session is $600. It’s the easiest yes you’ll make this year.
Sessions are virtual or in-person, flexible, and designed to move fast. No commitment beyond the session itself.
Brain Space is a good fit when you’re:
Preparing for a high-stakes board meeting or donor conversation
Working through a leadership change or difficult decision
Pressure-testing a new idea or direction
Too close to a problem to see it clearly
