If you’ve reached a point where it feels like you’re wearing more hats than you can carry — or things feel a bit out of control and it’s hard to pinpoint what to fix — The Ops Assessment is for you.

Many organizations reach a stage where the work is meaningful and growing, but the way the organization operates hasn’t quite caught up. Things feel scattered, decisions take longer than they should, and it’s hard to slow down long enough to fix what isn’t working. This self-assessment is designed as a simple starting point to help you step back, identify operational friction, and begin prioritizing solutions.

This tool is meant to be used as a working document. You’ll be prompted to make your own copy so you can identify where work is getting stuck or slowing down, add context, and capture what’s actually happening inside your organization. For best results, consider sharing it with a few others, such as senior managers, team members, or board leaders. When the same issues show up across multiple people, it’s usually a signal of a systems issue, not an individual one. The goal isn’t to fix everything, but to identify one or two areas that would create meaningful relief if addressed.
