The series will explore how to identify grant funding and write better grants. Participants will leave with a better understanding of where to find new funding opportunities and how to balance competing demands along with strong language to adapt to any grant application that comes across your desk.

This series offers an excellent foundation for those who are new to grant writing and research and a helpful step up for those who already work in development and grant work. Allison’s background as an expert grant writer and educator means she can offer insights wherever you are at on your grant writing career.

Course Schedule:

April 9th, 1:00 – 2:30 PM MTN | Mastering Grant Research

Are you capturing every grant opportunity available to support your organization’s mission, or could some be slipping through the cracks?

What You’ll Learn:

  • Research and Real-World Application: Engage in hands-on research exercises, explore case studies, and participate in group discussions that bring grant-writing principles to life.
  • Customized Action Plan: Develop a tailored plan to expand your funding reach and elevate your application strategies.

Key Takeaways:

  • Build a Robust Grant Calendar and Prospect List: Learn to identify a wide range of potential funding sources—foundations, corporations, tribal entities, and more—for comprehensive coverage.
  • Refine Your Funding Requests: Use comparative analysis to ensure your ask amounts resonate with donor expectations and align with historical trends.
  • Engage with ‘Closed’ Foundations: Discover actionable strategies for approaching foundations typically closed to applications and making successful introductions.

April 16th, 1:00 – 2:30 PM MTN | Anatomy of Grant Excellence

Unlock the secrets to mastering grant applications with our powerful webinar, Anatomy of Excellence. We’ll dive deep into a game-changing discovery from the “100 Forms in 100 Days” campaign, where a team of tech experts analyzed questions across 130 foundation applications—and found that 40% of these questions fall into just six essential categories.

In this workshop, you’ll:

  • Discover the six groups of core questions that appear time and time again in grant applications. Learn the key phrases and tactics that make your proposals stand out.
  • Master strategic answers to these questions in advance, saving you time and reducing the guesswork in future applications.
  • Organize with ease by building a system for managing responses that seamlessly integrates with online grant forms, making every application a breeze.
This course will be recorded! Session recordings and resources will be available to registrants for six months after the conclusion of the course.
