What are all the decision points behind a salary model and what unintentional messages might we be sending with each decision? Participants will learn how to leverage a market study to design a compensation structure for their organizations.Objectives:

- What is “Market Rate?” and why does it matter?
- How do I build salary bands and where should I be cautious?
- What about cost of living? How should I factor that in?
Session 2 | Transparent Salary Offers & Raises | November 6th, 10am-12pm MST
Can I have a raise is one of the most difficult questions for a leader to answer, but it doesn’t have to be. What are all the criteria we should use to determine staff placement on our salary bands. Spoiler, it’s not comparing your new hire to the staff you already pay. Participants will learn how to build a values aligned formula for range placement and understand how to message salary decisions to candidates and staff.
Objectives:
- What makes a candidate valuable to our organization?
- When should we make wage adjustments for our current team members?
- How should we think about discretionary pay like stipends and bonuses?
