Course Description
Learn to write grants and earn your Certificate in Grant Writing. Follow an eight-week online curriculum that walks you through writing each section of a grant proposal. Work with an expert grant writer as you master the art of writing effective grant proposals and receive individualized feedback on your writing to win the funding you need.
The course is a blended format of online and on-demand materials combined with a series of eight live video conference meetings with a learning cohort for problem- and case-based discussions. Course topics include proposal writing, organizational readiness, grant strategy, developing budgets, building relationships with grantmakers, ethics, and reporting.
By the end, you’ll have written an exemplary grant proposal for the organization or project of your choice with feedback and encouragement from your instructor and peers.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

3. Navigate the full grant lifecycle—from documentation and submission through the review process—while applying ethical grant writing practices.

As one of only thirty trainers nationally approved by the Grant Professionals Certification Institute and an approved trainer for both the Grant Professionals Association and Certified Fundraising Executives, Allison brings over two decades of grant writing and nonprofit management experience to her role, plus advanced studies in brain-based learning for adults. She contributes her expertise as a grant reviewer for foundations and government entities, gaining insights that enrich her training. She is also an adjunct professor of grant writing at several universities and a respected speaker who frequently presents at national conferences.
