Whether you are already navigating furloughs and layoffs or want to make sure your organization has a plan in case your funding situation changes rapidly, below are MNA’s recommended resources for navigating staffing changes: 

But first: Be really sure you’re ready to pursue a reduction in force. You might consider alternative options like cutting back on employee hours, limiting or cutting overtime, holding off on raises, or first considering a furlough. 

What is the difference between furloughs and layoffs?
