Limited Benefit Health Plan 
MNA has partnered with Symetra Financial, Insurance Coordinators of Montana, and Mountain West Benefits to offer this limited benefit health program to MNA members. This type of plan is not typically available to employers with less than 50 employees. By using the association as the policy holder, we can make it available to all members. MNA member benefits include:
- Core coverage premiums start at about $61 per employee per month
- Coverage allowed for groups of one or more employee
- Coverage extends to spouse, domestic partner, and dependents at no additional cost
- Employees may upgrade to optional plans with a greater benefit
- No preexisting condition limitations
- No deductibles
- No required networks
Program Description
Symetra Select Benefits Limited Benefit Health Plan* gives MNA members access to cost controlled health coverage and enables nonprofits to provide workers and their families with essential medical benefits. While Select Benefits is not designed to be a substitute for comprehensive medical insurance, the policy does provide eligible employees and their family members with coverage for such routine benefits such as doctor's office visits, hospital stays, lab tests, and emergency room visits. Participating in Select Benefits does not disqualify your organization from consideration for the Insure Montana program. Select Benefits offers four plan designs to MNA members ranging from $61 to $200 per employee per month. Employee, spouse and dependents are covered under composite premium. In addition, Insurance Coordinators of Montana can work with you to put a Flex plan in place to save even more money.
Eligibility
To participate in the this program, your organization must be a 501(c)(3) and a member of the MNA. Further restrictions include:
- Employers must pay for the Core Plan; employers may pay more if they choose
- Full-time, part-time and seasonal employees may be deemed eligible
